Why choose Sunrise Nursery?

Sunrise Nursery, based on the site with Broomfield Primary School, was founded in 2004 and offers a unique and nurturing environment for your child's early development. Our experienced and dedicated staff are committed to providing high-quality care and education. We focus on creating a stimulating and engaging curriculum that encourages children to learn, grow, and explore. We are proud of our strong links with Broomfield Primary School, facilitating a smooth transition for children as they prepare for primary education.

Addressing your worries

We understand that choosing the right nursery is a big decision. Many parents worry about their child's adjustment, the quality of care, and the overall learning environment. At Sunrise Nursery, we prioritise creating a warm, safe, and stimulating space where every child can thrive. We encourage you to visit us, ask questions, and see for yourself what makes Sunrise Nursery special.

Terms of attendance

It is our policy to release the child to the authorised adult at the end of each session. If for any reason you are unable to collect your child please ensure that you inform a member of staff as to the identity of the replacement. We never allow a nursery child to be collected by another child.

If your child is unwell with an infectious disease such a rash, diarrhoea, a heavy cold, sickness or discharge from eyes or nose please do not allow them to attend the nursery, and inform us of their absence. Any child with diarrhoea and vomiting needs to be excluded for 48 hours If your child has special medical needs please discuss this with a senior member of staff at the beginning of the session.

We are qualified to administer basic first aid only. In the event of an emergency the parent/carer will be contacted immediately.

Please ensure that your child is wearing comfortable and suitable clothes, that they can manage themselves and that is appropriate for the weather. All clothing must be named. Sun creams need to be applied before attending nursery. We prefer children not to wear jewellery as this can be dangerous.

The care of young children is paramount. In rare instances if we are concerned with the welfare or safety of the child, referral to the Social Services Department may be necessary.
